Doing countdown activities, help little ones wrap their heads around the concept of time.  They're also a quick, easy and fun way to practice numbers, as well as counting backwards.   The packet also includes a traceable calendar page for December, with a blank template if you want students to write in their own numbers.

Do you have a cat-theme going?  Do your kiddos enjoy Pete the Cat stories?  If so, I think you'll like this alpha cat packet.  The packet includes separate upper and lowercase letters that are purr-fect for Memory Match and "I Have; Who Has?" games.  There's also a set of cards with both the upper and lowercase letter on them.  Cut them up to make puzzles, or run off a set for each student.  They color, trim, collate and add a cover to make an Itty Bitty booklet.

If you read the adorable book The Kissing Hand, by Aurdrey Penn, you're familiar with Chester an anxious little raccoon.  Since he is such an endearing character for children, I thought I'd incorporate him into some fun hand's-on shape games and activities.

This is a wonderful extension after reading The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn.  The packet includes large 8x10 number cards from 0-10, with a blank one to program with higher numbers.  Use these as flashcards or to play games with.  There's also a 0-10 mini booklet for students to trace, write and put lipstick-ers on, to show "how many" in the group/set, along with a blank page to reinforce larger numbers.  There are also trace and write worksheets for numbers 0-100.
