This is a fun easy reader for students to make, which will help reinforce colors, color words, capitalization, and end punctuation. It's a nice activity to transition to, after reading Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, by James Dean and Eric Litwin.
This packet is a fun way to reinforce colors and color words. Use the cards for Memory Match and "I Have; Who Has?" games. Students match the color word card to the matching color shoe card.
If you read the adorable book The Kissing Hand, by Aurdrey Penn, you're familiar with Chester an anxious little raccoon. Since he is such an endearing character for children, I thought I'd incorporate him into some fun hand's-on shape games and activities.
This packet will be FREE for an entire year, after which time it will be included in my jumbo Kissing Hand (Raccoon-Themed) Shape Packet available in my TpT shop. Click on the link to pop on over.
This is a wonderful extension after reading The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn. The packet includes large 8x10 number cards from 0-10, with a blank one to program with higher numbers. Use these as flashcards or to play games with. There's also a 0-10 mini booklet for students to trace, write and put lipstick-ers on, to show "how many" in the group/set, along with a blank page to reinforce larger numbers. There are also trace and write worksheets for numbers 0-100.
Review a variety of standards with these cute raccoon sliders. Packet includes sliders for shapes, upper and lowercase letters, numbers to 20, plus skip counting strips for 2's, 3's, 5's, and 10's. This FREEBIE is part of my jumbo Kissing Hand (Raccoon-themed) packet in my TpT shop. For your convenience, I've included a preview in this FREE packet.
This is a wonderful packet to go along with the back to school book The Kissing Hand, by Audrey Penn.
This packet is an interesting and fun way to build students' vocabularies, reinforce verb usage, synonyms, and dictionary alphabetizing skills. Great for Daily 5 or a game students can play with a substitute teacher, or when you have a few extra minutes in your day.
Ready! Set! Action! is an interesting and fun way to help your students learn about verbs. This game also acts as a classroom management technique to help students "get the wiggles out". Students enjoy the action of the activity, while you reinforce the grammar concept.
