This is an easy and quick card to make for Father's Day. Younger students can simply make the dynamite stick craft, while older students can complete the writing prompt: "My dad is a dynamite dad because..." and glue it to the back of their creation.

This "craftivity" is very versatile, as it includes templates for an end-of-the year memory book, with covers for preschool through 6th grade, plus a blank template.  If you already have a memory book, have students write why they think this grade was terrific.  You can also use this as a self-esteem builder (fill a bucket) activity (use the ______ is "T"-'rrific!" template) and have each classmate write a compliment in everyone's booklet; or fill in the blank with My Dad, or Grandparents and use for Father's or Grandparent's Day.  It also works for back-to-school. Have students write about why their summer was terrific.

There's a background template for Mother's Day and Father's Day, as well as a generic one so a child can give this to anyone. Students take their shoe off and trace it on a folded sheet of construction paper. By cutting once they will have two "butterfly wings."

There are 3 templates so you can use this for Mother's Day with a generic "You are 'berry' special" pattern, so students can give this to someone else, or make for Grandparents' Day.
