How many words can you make using the letters in valentines?  Challenge your students to find as many as they can before the timer rings. 

Children can work independently or in groups.  Afterwards, share my list of 312 words that I found.  Have students highlight words that they don't know. Assign a different set of words for each team to look up, when they are done, have them share their findings with the class.  This is a fun way to increase vocabulary and a nice activity for your Daily 5 Word Work.
