The Thankful Tree is a nice alternative to the "I'm Thankful Turkeys" that are such a popular November writing activitiy. With the tree, you are also covering the four seasons.
I think your students will really enjoy all of these lessons related to Pilgrim children. The packet is filled with a nice variety of interesting writing activities to help your students learn more about this time period, as well as a dozen colonial games and 2 measurement activities to do outdoors.
Review a variety of math standards during your Pilgrim studies, with this 10-frames packet. If you enjoy using 10 frames, be sure and check out the rest of our themes. We have LOTS! I've included extra tiles to use as manipulatives for sorting, making groups/sets & patterning.
Students can independently place the laminated shape tiles onto the matching Pilgrim card, or they can pick a partner and take turns spinning. Whatever shape they land on, they place the matching shape tile on the card.
15 "craftivities" are included in this packet. Besides Veterans Day, they would also be appropriate for any of the other patriotic holidays.
This packet will be FREE for an entire year! Woo hoo. After which time, it will be up-dated & included in my whopping 113-page Veterans Day packet, in my TpT shop. Click on the link to have a look see. For your convenience, I've included a PREVIEW here.
Students can either play independently and place the laminated shape tiles on the matching soldier cards, or they can choose a partner and take turns spinning the shape spinner. Whatever shape they land on, they place it on the matching card. Practice colors by having students color the shapes with a dry erase marker, according to the spinner.
These 3 puzzles will help your students count from 1 to 10, backwards from 10 to 1, as well as skip count by 10's to 100. Set this up as a center with laminated pieces, or run off copies for students to cut and glue to the number grids. You can also mix up all 3 puzzles and make a puzzle flip booklet.
Daddy's, mommy's and child's hand prints are all featured in this adorable little turkey card, sure to become a cherished keepsake. Includes a note home to get parental help.
