There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Shape

Share:

7 pages.
Your students will really enjoy this interactive story that reinforces the basic shapes.

  • Can your students figure out the mystery of why the Little Old Lady is swallowing circles, triangles, rectangles, squares, ovals, and even a few hearts?
  • Run off the shapes on multi-colored construction paper, laminate, then cut them out and distribute to "quiet" children. They will enjoy "feeding" the Little Old Lady when that particular shape appears in the story.
  • As a wonderful hands-on transition to table top at the end of the story, have children make their own pizzas, complete with all sorts of brightly colored toppings!
